At Orchids, emphasis is given to develop an awareness towards social responsibilities and this is taught by the school in the early stages of an Orchidian.

Children go through school development programme in areas like adult literacy, elementary education, fire fighting, helping the aged, care for the blind, environmental protection and many more.
Every child at Orchids becomes a member of any one of the four houses (Carnation, Daffodil, Marigold, Tulip) of the School.
The housemasters/housemistress with tutors monitor the all round progress of each child under their care. Periodic reports by the housemasters or housemistress are communicated to the parents.
